Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Security, North America the Regional Security Manager (RSM) provides support to the business and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) by interfacing with key stakeholders from Security, IT, information security while acting as the SME for physical security system and infrastructure. Assist/implement and evaluate corporate programs for the protection of tangible and intangible assets at Iron Mountain operating locations consistent with Iron Mountain Corporate Security Risk Management Program, Safety & Security policies, procedures and standards; conduct incident response and investigative services. Maintain strong alliances and alignment with a focus on providing ongoing support to our business stakeholders.

Specifically theRegional Security Manager (RSM) will:

  • Support the Director Security, North America through execution of identified strategic security/integration projects, prioritizations, and acts as an SME for both technical and strategic planning specific to security systems including collaboration with Information security team. The role will implement/coordinate security and asset protection programs for operational facilities.

  • Knowledgeable in applying physical security risk management practices and execute against corporate security plan including enterprise systems integration.

  • Extensive technical knowledge of physical security systems, IP technologies and systems configurations and integration.

  • Prepare/update security strategic plans (road maps) collect, analyze, correlate, filter, and present data as meaningful and actionable information in real-time.

  • Review technical security system drawings, create and update security system designs and workflows specific to security systems installations.

  • Support planning/execution for security system integration both logical/physical

  • Proven technical writing capabilities, including training modules for security systems including workflows, assist with roll out and executing training programs

  • Oversight and coordination with internal/external team for Intrusion Detection Systems, Access and CCTV specific to data base maintenance, access, including software deployment programming/migrating databases & applications to or assessing & upgrading existing server: patching, updating firmware, etc.

  • Responsible for executing strategic plans for decommissioning legacy servers: coordinate shutdown procedures with RSMs and external vendors.

  • Abilities to conduct analysis and strategic reports specific to security systems life cycle management.

  • Maintain accurate/on time reporting in our Corporate data base Compass and our GSS NA tasks

Provide implementation direction/execution of security risk, alarm management measure effectiveness with a focus on overall improvement.Responsible for conducting / managing all aspects of both physical security risk assessments and integrated security model.Monitors operations to evaluate local program effectiveness from a policy, procedure and standards viewpoint.

  • Escalation/triaging and support to address high risk items identified during third party integrity audits and/or inspections

  • Provide ongoing Security Alarm Management program support and oversight.

  • Support the Security Risk Assessment (SRA) process by conducting strategic SRA’s, and working with owning management to prioritize, plan or remediating identified risks and inputting data within defined timelines

  • Provide leadership under the Integrated Security Model (ISM). Work with field based Security Advocates to identify and reduce risks, drive security compliance and promote strong life Safety and Security awareness in the workforce.

  • Provides reports to management and the Director Security North America to help ensure programs remain viable and consistent with enterprise requirements as well as responsive to local needs.

Disaster Recovery

  • Provide support in managing the DR environments for all security systems.

  • Responsible for coordination efforts of all DR tests for security system infrastructure.

  • Maintain annual testing in concert with IMIT and security system integrator.

  • Manage/coordinate annual testing of security servers through both our third party service provider and IMIT.

Assist GSRS and other functional partners (e.g., Real Estate, Investigations, Business Continuity)perform response and investigative services duties, at the direction of the Director Security, North America.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, security or management field, or 5 year experience in a security operations environment

  • Technical designation /certification Honeywell end user certification or its equivalence

  • High level of customer service, analytical, financial and consultation skills

  • Technical Project Management Experience preferred

  • Ability to cope with multi-project, multi-vendor situations

  • Experience in design and installation of security systems

  • Proficiency in City and State Codes and NFPA Standards desirable

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to deal effectively with peers and others in high stress situations

  • Presentation skills

  • Cost analysis. Computer skills, including Excel and Word

  • Professional designation from ASIS International is preferred. Possess or have the ability to obtain access under the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other clearances as determined. Possess familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM).

  • Total travel: 50%
