Responsibilities

Under general direction, applies business analysis tasks and techniques to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Demonstrates depth of understanding in most if not all areas of sales business analysis including; calculating compensation payments, understanding account structure, enterprise analysis and process modeling, business analysis planning and monitoring, elicitation, requirements analysis, solution assessment and validation, requirements management and communication. Formulates and defines scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Ensures the technology solutions needed for commercial off-the-shelf products or internal legacy systems meet the stated business needs. Primary responsibility is the clear understanding of the business and user needs and well-structured documentation of functional and non-functional requirements that are translated into proper system requirement specifications. Able to take full responsibility for own work (and that of others where applicable). Deals with complex situations holistically. Works independently and may plan, supervise, or lead the work of others on large projects and work efforts. May fulfill project management roles on smaller sized projects.

Qualifications

  • Has an in-depth knowledge of all areas of sales business analysis practice

  • Understanding calculating compensation

  • Able to routinely produce high-quality requirements in all but the most complex or exceptional of situations without supervision

  • Can effectively guide or supervise the work of others

  • Able to intuitively assess the best course of action to take in a given situation and understand how and when to apply guidelines

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio

  • Proficient in workflow analysis and use case definition

  • Proficiency with process and data modeling tools

  • Familiarity with SQL, Oracle RDBMS, experience with business process modeling tools and processes

  • Demonstrated understanding of relational databases and distributed applications

  • Expert in conducting Lessons Learned when closing out projects

  • Strong Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in workflow analysis, document analysis, use case and test script definition

  • 5-8+ years of sales business analysis experience

  • 5+ years experience with a variety of data and process modeling methodologies

  • Experience in Information Management preferred

  • Experience enhancing proprietary software applications

  • Demonstrated experience with best practices in Business Analysis

  • Interest in new methodologies and emerging technology

  • Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis

  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

  • Able to plan, supervise, or lead the work of others on large projects and work efforts

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven ability to interface comfortably at various levels of the organization (from Senior Executives to functional subject matter experts and individual contributors)
