Iron Mountain’s (IRM) Enterprise Information Technology-Platforms is hiring an experienced DevOps Manager. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced organization that is responsible for implementing DevSecOps (DSO) at IRM. Our team supports internal tools and processes for IRM’s many application teams.

The DevOps Manager will help lead the technical direction of the DSO platform. This includes the mentorship of the development team, contributing to the design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality solutions. Leveraging expertise in coding, architecture, and best practices, the DevOps Manager will empower and lead the DevOps team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

  • Define and drive the strategic direction of DevOps initiatives to align with business objectives and goals.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to streamline delivery.

  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to establish DevOps standards, policies, and best practices.

  • Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure availability and reliability of production environments.

  • Manage Cloud infrastructure resources and services, optimizing costs and scalability while ensuring security and compliance with IRM’s policies and standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the DevOps team, evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Serve as technical advisor and escalation point of contact for complex technical issues, providing guidance and support for resolution.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging DevOps technologies and strategies

  • Represent the DevOps team in meetings, presentations, and discussions with stakeholders, communicating project status, challenges, and opportunities effectively

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a concentration in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

    • years of experience in a technical role.
  • 3+ years of experience as the technical lead on a project(s).

  • Strong understanding of version control (Git).

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Python or a similar programming language (Java, Go).

  • Strong knowledge of at least one public cloud including GCP, AWS, Azure.

  • Expertise implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef).

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with users, executives and senior leaders at all levels.

  • Able to determine work priorities based on general direction from leadership.

  • Ability to effectively execute tasks.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of DevOps best practices, principles and methodologies.

  • Should have hands-on experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
