Job Responsibilities
InSight is an AI enablement platform that applies industry-leading ML, including custom models, to classify and extract entities from unstructured content (Document Images, Audio and Video files, other data files and sources). We currently have an opportunity for you to work as an Intern with our Data Science team on AI enablement for Iron Mountain Products, which falls under the Global Product and Engineering Organization.
As an AI/ML Data Science Intern at Iron Mountain you will:
Contribute to the analytics techniques on a very large set of diverse data from connected assets, anomaly detection, business analytics, data visualization.
Contribute to teams by solving problems of medium to high complexity in analytics approach, related digital technology, or business domain
Help create solutions for product roadmap and customer-driven requirements.
Participate in design discussions to develop ML models performing classification and entity extraction from various forms of digital content (Images, Audio/video, and other digital file formats).
Participate in the build and deployment of models into Iron Mountain platforms.
Work with project managers, solution architects, ML engineers, and data scientists to deliver ML-based solutions.
Assist in designing and executing predictive modeling projects using statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
Work with Product Management and on reviewing existing features and future roadmap items.
Identify, resolve, and escalate any issues impeding project success.
Design and deployment of ML models using Python to perform classification and entity extraction of various forms of digital content (Images, Audio/video, and other digital file formats).
Apply effective visualization tools to make descriptive analysis and results intuitive and informative to the team and customers.
Participate in research and development to build Iron Mountain ML portfolio with state-of-the-art technology.
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Educational Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expectation that the degree will be obtained by July 2025 or earlier
Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the internship
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
Requirements
Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the continental United States for the duration of the program
You will be evaluated for a full time position with their team
Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction
This is a 40 hour per week assignment, lasting between 10-12 weeks with the expected start date being May 20, 2024
Technical Skill Qualifications (Preferred)
Basic understanding of Machine Learning and AI techniques.
Hands-on programming experience (such as Python, Java, C++, C#, SQL, etc)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Familiarity with agile development
