We are seeking a dynamic senior product management professional to drive the growth of our Global Asset Lifecycle Management product line.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT Asset Lifecycle Management. The candidate builds strong relationships across functions and is able to lead cross-functional teams to leverage our brand of trust and our tremendous growth potential.
The ideal candidate will analyze and evaluate trends and customer feedback to identify product opportunities and target markets, coordinate and analyze market research and collaborate on the generation of product concepts while also being able to communicate concepts persuasively to a variety of audiences.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
Drive the development and execution of short-term and long-term product and service line strategies and roadmaps, validating with customers and modifying accordingly
Business-plan generation - including partnering with the business line executives globally to develop strategies to grow and transform the ALM offerings
Manage the definition and development of new capabilities, new service offerings, and new pricing & packaging approaches, manage cross-company efforts to ensure alignment, approval, and coordinate their successful introduction
Analyze the performance of current product and services in the portfolio including financial performance, win/loss analysis, concepts for new services (includes forecasts for those new services), and service offerings of competitors and drive portfolio changes as appropriate.
Provide global product management leadership for the service offering, collaborate with geographic Leadership, Product Management & Marketing to define value and prioritize future product requirements and roadmap. Conduct market opportunity and requirements analysis and definition using market research firms and customer/prospect visits
Lead team of Product Managers responsible for individual products, solutions, and platforms within the portfolio, managing the portfolio and prioritization to optimize portfolio level outcomes.
As appropriate, lead initiatives as an individual contributor, managing through the entire lifecycle:
Lead cross-functional team in development and enhancement initiatives
Develop new service offerings by market testing, market research, market assessments, competitive evaluations, and service line development activities
Gather input both internally and externally to define concepts, develop detailed requirements, feature definitions and implementation plans
Prioritize requirements and resolve conflicts during the product development process across multiple platforms & applications
Package, price and bundle service offerings
Provide the “voice of the customer” to ensure marketability of products, establishing and tailoring of value propositions for appropriate market segments
Organizational integration, leverage and alignment
Must have the ability to lead and influence the goals of senior business leaders across functional areas, providing strategic recommendations to management.
Foster close working relationships with Service Line Executive Leaders, Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Field Marketing, PR, Corporate Marketing, Executive and Operations teams to effectively leverage expertise and resources, and utilize cross functional teams to maximize and focus resources on the achievement of marketing and business objectives.
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
BS and 7 - 10 years of experience, with a significant portion in product management
MBA a plus
IT Hardware / IT Service background preferred, including knowledge of buyers needs
Lifecycle of managing IT assets, particularly asset disposition preferred
Strong executive facilitation skills and experience related to strategy development and problem solving
Solid strategic analytical skills (i.e., market and competitive dynamics, business performance)
Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities
Strong sense of urgency
Ability to quickly develop domain and customer expertise
Exceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
High degree of professionalism and integrity
Results oriented
