As the Head of Global Benefits, you will be a key member of the Global HR Department and Total Rewards Leadership team, serving in an important strategic position reporting to the Senior Vice President of Total Rewards. This role is a key player in repositioning our global benefits approach for Iron Mountain’s digital future. The company is already the leader in physical storage, and now our shifting business model and workforces for the future to become a digital storage and technology powerhouse. The Company’s transformation means total rewards must also transform, and this role will lead the transformation of our benefits strategy and offerings for technology while balancing cost and competitiveness for our existing workforce. Responsibilities:
Designing and Developing a global benefits strategy that aligns with the company's strategic objectives, and delivers a best in class employee experience
Overseeing the effective communications of our benefits plans and programs to maximize impact and employee understanding, as well as deliver a strong value proposition
Planning and directing the overall design and implementation of all Global Health and Wellbeing benefits, as well as Global Mobility programs, including medical, dental, vision, and work-life and mobility consistent with the company's strategic direction and employee proposition
Serving as the liaison with shared services and the Company’s outsourced benefits administration provider (Conduent) to proactively manage benefits changes, as well as address any process issues
Planning and leading the Company’s global benefits strategy and plan design including financial oversight, annual plan renewals, oversight of leave programs, communications, and liaison with shared services global benefits administration.
Analyzing current and developing legislation, healthcare regulations and other environmental factors impacting plan performance and program competitiveness
Managing program financials and utilization, preparing annual budgets and tracking all benefits related expenses
Managing strong vendor partnerships and the utilization of the external network of experts
Ensuring appropriate governance and compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations
Ensuring that all plan filings (such as Form 5500) and audits are performed to maintain plan qualification and compliance
Overseeing the audit process and working closely with Legal to develop required notices, plan amendments, plan documents, eligibility appeal responses, and other required documentation
Leading, developing and motivating a strong, effective and respected Benefits organization, one viewed by its clients to be confident, strategic, proactive, effective, and vital to the company's success
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Minimum Education: BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of HR experience
Minimum Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of Benefits design, strategy and management experience, with prior experience specifically in a high technology business
Additional Requirements:
Experience developing a benefits strategy that is aligned with the critical priorities of the business and delivers an innovative and attractive portfolio of benefits while remaining sensitive to costs
Experience with global benefits programs and practices
Experience with Benefits committees, Investment and Retirement committees and general governance practices
Desired Background:
Experience with non-qualified plans, executive perks, amenities and work life programs
Experience working within a complex organization with global business operations
Work experience in a highly innovative, creative Benefits function that has successfully utilized technology (digital, mobile applications, etc.) to deliver access to information and features for a large employee base
Education: MA/MS Master's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
