Manager, Executive & Online Events, Americas

Position Description: The Iron Mountain Americas marketing team is seeking an experienced Manager to support in person and online events throughout the region. Critical to our demand generation and customer engagement strategy, the Executive & Online Events Manager will play a key role in leading the definition, development, promotion and execution of events on a quarterly basis. As a people leader, the Manager will lead a team of marketers to achieve success in this role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts short- and long-term planning and management for online and in-person experiences.

  • Develops and recommends the budget, marketing plans, and objectives and manages within those approved plans.

  • Create comprehensive event project plans, outlining strategy, objectives, metrics, timeline, and assigned roles and responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the events, increase attendance, and generate excitement. Utilize email marketing, social media, and other channels to drive registrations

  • Assembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors.

  • Perform post-event analysis to assess the effectiveness of each event, collect feedback, and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Utilize data-driven insights to improve future events.

  • Supervises and works with event staff both in house and with third party vendors

  • Leads event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.

  • Administers all phases of the Americas event department.

  • Coaches and counsels employees on event details, logistics, and other needs.

  • Maintains a unified in-person and online calendar to track, manage and set expectations both inside and outside of the organization .

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Executive presence - professional appearance and manner

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Proven ability to problem solve and manage through ambiguity

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Remaining calm under pressure and ability to manage last-minute changes or requests

  • Proven ability to build partnerships and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in marketing or executive engagement

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools

  • Experience working with Salesforce or equivalent cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

  • Experience working with event management systems (eg. CVENT, etc)

  • Experience working with outside agencies, vendors and partners

  • Experience using key performance indicators and metrics to make informed decisions

  • Prior experience managing teams a plus
