Reporting to the Finance Platform Lead, the Principal Oracle Cloud Architect will be a key Information Technology change agent in the digital transformation journey of Iron Mountain. We are seeking a hands-on technology leader to drive platform strategy & data integration efforts establishing a strategic, global finance platform while also working with business partners, other IT partners and strategic vendor partners ensure delivery of strategic business objectives and develop long term technology roadmaps that continue to deliver and expand recurring business value.
Candidate will possess the necessary balance of strategic vision coupled with tactical execution when needed. The Principal Architect must have the ability to design systems, processes, and procedures that scale to meet the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the organization. Moreover, they will need to build relationships across all parts of the organization at multiple levels.
Candidate should be an outstanding communicator capable of describing the business impact and cost justification of initiatives as well as the transformational potential of emerging technologies. Must possess executive presence, communication, and senior-level influencing skills.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall architecture and design of all the Iron Mountain Oracle Cloud Financials Modules and related platforms
Works closely with the IT Leadership team to influence improvements to systems and processes
Develops and maintains productive relationships with business stakeholders and partners across the enterprise
Establishes architectural best practice/standards and the right level of technical governance to help accelerate development/operations of state-of-the-art solutions
Encourages creativity and challenge traditional thinking to architect for innovation and value
Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc. in order to lead strategic business direction of the department
Directs hands-on architecture design participation on large, complex projects
Accountable for the mentoring and leadership of a number of Iron Mountain architects/other technical resources; must be both a strong technologist and collaborative, inspirational people leader.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
15+ years of relevant IT work experience with minimum 10 years as an IT manager
Expert level understanding of the Oracle Financials (AR, AP, and GL preferred - CM and FA nice to have) and Supply Chain Management Cloud product suite; exposure to Oracle Transportation Management also desired
Ability to lead technical design sessions; architect technical solutions aligned with business objectives; identify gaps
Ability to look across the IT landscape and understand the structure and relationships other applications have with Finance platforms to ensure tight integration and data integrity
Experience architecting solutions with Agile teams across a broad suite of technologies
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud economics including AWS, Azure, GCP
Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations
Must be committed to a culture of continuous improvement
Exceptional customer service skills, in addition to extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively with users, executives and senior leaders at all levels
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams with competing priorities.
BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Security or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills:
High level working knowledge of multiple complex software and hardware platforms including network architectures
Ability to work in a fast paced, high tech environment juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations and manage distributed teams with competing priorities with tight deadlines
ITIL and other IT Professional Certifications
