Job Summary:

Based in Boyers, Pennsylvania, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing a variety of technical trades and inspections at Iron Mountains' underground facility in Boyers, PA. The incumbent will take primary direction from the FM Platform Supervisor and the Maintenance Section Leads in the execution of multiple technical repairs and inspections. The incumbent will be directly responsible to perform and conduct maintenance, service, inspections and repairs and adherence to all safety requirements and regulations. Works alone or as part of a team repairing, inspecting or executing preventive maintenance tasks.

Location: 1137 Branchton Road, Boyers, PA 16020

Hours: Panama schedule- 12 hour rotating schedule

Skills:

Electrical:

  • Basic knowledge of single phase and three phase systems

  • Working knowledge and basic maintenance of generator operations

  • Lockout/Tagout protocols and practices

  • NFPA 70E Electrical Safe Work Practices

  • Ohm’s Law

Mechanical:

  • HVAC systems

>Air Handlers

>Fans and Blowers

>Chillers

>Dehumidification Equipment

>Dampers and Ductwork

  • HVAC monitoring and control systems.

  • Safe operation of equipment such as, platform lifts, forklifts, telescoping lifts, dump truck and fire engine

  • Operation of common hand and power tools.

  • Testing and inspecting of alarm systems

  • Testing and inspecting of security systems:

  • Painting using both spray and brush techniques

  • Carpentry skills

  • Drywall repairs

  • Plumbing and piping systems

>Steel, PVC and copper pipe

>Drains and sump pumps;

>Potable water systems

  • Repair and finishing of concrete

  • Door Repairs

>Hardware related issues

>Adjustments

  • Use of a computer operating basic Windows and Microsoft Office software

  • Use of electronic testing / monitoring equipment

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Associates/technical degree in Industrial Technology or Trade is preferred.

  • PADEP Deep Mine Safety Certified Mine Foreman

  • First Aid and CPR/AED certified

Experience:

  • At least 3 years work experience

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Demonstrate customer service skills

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Working well with others

  • Team player

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Job / Physical Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Lifting, moving, pushing and pulling equipment (cases, metal containers or boxes) in excess amount of 30 to 40 lbs.

  • Job requires both interior and exterior operations

  • Bending and Walking.

  • Minimal travel (less than 10% a year)

  • Willing and able to work overtime as
