Monday-Friday Daylight hours

20-30 hour work week

LOCATION: 1137 Branchton Rd, Boyers, PA 16020

SALARY: $18.00 Per Hour

Summary:

The uniformed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment for Iron Mountain’s employees, customers and visitors, and protecting the physical and intangible assets in the facility.

Specific duties include:

•Controlling and monitoring daily access of individuals and vehicles into and out of the Underground facility; ensuring that all who enter are properly identified and authorized.

•Conducting vehicle and personal property searches, and operating both x-ray equipment and magnetometers to identify and prevent the entry of prohibited items in accordance with established policies.

•Monitoring security and fire alarm systems, as well as designated CCTV covered assets, and responding to alarms and/or potential security breaches in accordance with established procedures.

•Responding to emergencies and collaborating with other internal departments and outside public safety personnel to facilitate emergency evacuation, if necessary, and minimize loss.

•Conducting routine visual inspections of key assets and locations within and outside the Underground through scheduled roving patrols.

•Assisting employees, tenants, and visitors as needed with safety and security issues and concerns.

•Appropriately documenting any significant security or safety incidents and completing other departmental reports in accordance with established procedures.

•Providing specific direction to individuals regarding compliance with the rules and regulations of the facility.

•Performing effectively as part of a shared responsibility team that protects people, property, information, and the Iron Mountain Brand.

•Position requires the need to provide specific direction to others with regard to compliance with rules and regulations of the facility, particularly with regard to the entry and exit procedures. The position also requires the ability to take charge and provide clear direction to all personnel in the event of a safety or security related situation (i.e. fire or emergency evacuation).

•The ability to quickly and effectively assess and resolve situations that may present a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the Underground facility is paramount. As a security officer, quick situational assessments and decisions regarding the need to employ force and the level of force necessary must be made and implemented according to established policies and procedures.

•The uniformed Security Officer may be one of the first Iron Mountain employees many external customers and underground tenants encounter. The demeanor, appearance, and professional attitude that the Security Officer displays with customers, clients or visitors will significantly impact their initial impression of Iron Mountain. Strict adherence to the security and safety policies by these Officers will help establish and maintain a safe and secure working environment for customers and their employees and reinforce Iron Mountain’s commitment to both security and total customer satisfaction.

•The Security Officer position requires an average to above-average level of physical fitness.

Required:

•Must have superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience with managing highly stressful situations.

•Valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License.

•Current Pennsylvania

•High School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.

•Candidates with current EMT or EMR certification are encouraged to apply.
