We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and results-oriented person, with flexibility in approaching work situations to be our new Contabil Sef (f/m/d) in Romania. In this position you will be responsible for accounting and fiscal procedures, for the preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules in compliance with statutory requirements. You will be a point of reference for the executive management team of the company, providing insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

What you will do

  • Manage the finance organisation of Iron Mountain operations in Romania

  • Be responsible for the preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules in compliance with statutory requirements,

  • Manage and comply with local and US GAAP reporting requirements,

  • Facilitate and complete monthly closing procedures (booking management corrections, accruals, revaluation of balances in foreign currency, booking all other type of transactions in GL),

  • Ensure quality and control over all financial transactions and general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, bank statements processing, journal entries according with both: business or statutory requirements,

  • Deal with financial and tax audits and with Fiscal Authorities inquiries

  • Collaborate with the company's external auditor

  • Timely completion and submission of tax returns (VAT, income tax), including sales and purchase journals preparation; preparation of quarterly corporate tax calculations and financial statements

  • Verify payrolls and calculation of related taxes;

  • Monitor the contracts from an accounting point of view regarding the projects in the portfolio

  • Organize and co-ordinate the heritage inventory and capitalization of the inventory results in accordance with the legal provisions;

  • Set up bank accounts and manage banking relationships

What you will bring

  • Be University educated with a degree in Accounting or a finance related subject; a chartered or certified accounting qualification would be an advantage

  • Professional experience in the financial-accounting field

  • Extensive knowledge in management and financial accounting, local and US GAAP, alongside knowledge of the legislation in the field (knowledge of accounting, fiscal legislation and financial-accounting procedures)

  • Possess strong understanding of tax compliance regulations

  • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Analytical and problem solving skills, alongside good planning and organising skills in managing time, tools and resources to meet deadlines

  • Business professional English (spoken and written).
