We are looking for a dedicated Financial Accounting Controller to oversee accounting and internal control activities across the country. This role will be responsible for the accurate monthly accounting in Oracle system plus group reporting. The role requires the ability to understand and apply specific business knowledge in an effort to anticipate potential problems and force timely resolutions.

Your role in our mission

  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs for all country entities, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.

  • Maintain accountability to the Country Finance Business Partner by performing risk analysis, reviewing business processes, and recommending changes to mitigate financial misstatements. Collaborate with management, operations, and accounting teams to implement these changes.

  • Provide support to investigate and resolve accounting issues across all country entities, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

  • Implement and lead regular balance sheet reviews for all country entities, focusing particularly on high-risk account reconciliations. These reviews will align with the Europe regional balance sheet review schedule conducted by the Budapest-based Europe Regional Controllership team.

  • Ensure compliance with Iron Mountain group accounting policies, US GAAP, and SOX requirements. Collaborate with and support the cluster finance director in ongoing risk-based monitoring, designing, and implementing effective internal controls for the cluster locations, including those within the scope of SOX.

Valued skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A registered accountant (regisztrált mérlegképes könyvelő) is preferred.

  • Numerous years of experience in financial accounting and control, with a proven track record in a multinational environment.Proficiency in ERP systemsand a strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance. Experience with financial reporting, risk analysis, and business process improvement.

  • Excellent analytical abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and solving potential problems.

  • Business professional English (both written and spoken), capable of effectively interacting with Cluster Controlling teams and Operational management.

  • Proven experience in creating and nurturing a collaborative team environment.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
