Responsibilities

The Regional Maintenance Supervisor’s primary role is to support and develop corporate preventative maintenance programs, direct repair support for both planned and emergency repairs, maintenance training initiatives, maintenance vendor support and provide comprehensive analysis / recommendation in order to reduce overall plant maintenance costs.

P A. Provide Equipment Inspections for 27 plant locations on an annual basis. 15%

P B. Provide hands on repair of plant equipment using specific skills in welding, mechanical, hydraulics and electrical applications. 25%

P C. Act as a vendor liaison for district specific repairs. 15%

P D. Drive maintenance program initiatives. Preventative, Predictive and Productive 15%

S E. Support the development, documentation and delivery of maintenance training initiatives 10%

S F. Provide comprehensive maintenance reporting inclusive of repair reporting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis and inventory management. 10%

S G. Assist in capital equipment recommendations and deployment. Provide recommendations for plant equipment repair budgeting on an annual basis. 10%

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies : Ideal candidate must have excellent mechanical aptitude and project management background, as well as hands on experience in some or all of the following skills: welding, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical repair aptitude. , PLC programming / support and database development a plus.

Business Expertise : Ideal candidate must be familiar with budgeting and assist in the development of maintenance operating budgets in excess of $2.5MM annually. Candidate must be able to perform cost benefit analysis related to capital investments.

Leadership : While not directly responsible for district employees, Supervisor must lead by example as it relates to company policies and procedures as well as provide training on maintenance functions. Position will also require excellent teaming skills in order to manage activities throughout a region and with multiple internal customers.

Problem Solving : Minimally the position requires the ability to quickly identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate resolution. Additionally this position requires the evaluation of repair events and historical data to determine root cause and predictive maintenance solutions.

Nature of Impact : This position will reduce downtime and plant equipment maintenance expenses as well as provide high level maintenance support and extent the life of Iron Mountain plant assets.

Area of Impact: The primary impact of this role will be in the secure shredding service line specifically in the area of reducing vendor labor cost, program development and increasing equipment uptime, thereby reducing costs and increasing throughput.

Interpersonal Skills : While this position will report through a product line corporate structure the customer is internal and as such will be required to communicate affectively to multiple levels of Iron Mountain Management, this will require above average documentation, reporting and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  1. Physical Requirements: Approximately 45% of this roll requires hands on repair and inspection of shred plant equipment including the use of general mechanical tools, lifting parts and equipment.
