Have a valid commercial driver’s license and must be able to negotiate roads and streets in the pickup anddelivery area.
Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles;
Walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time;
Work without assistance in order to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins including up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations;
Have good communication skills including speaking and listening in order to talk with clients, co-workers, and managers;
Read and write English
Climb in and out of van/truck frequently and walk, crawl, kneel to complete daily vehicle inspection
Find specific addresses
Arm/disarm the truck/van’s alarm system at every stop
Complete 10-30 stops at customer locations during his/her shift
Push / pull carts when they are empty, fully or partially loaded (carts weight approximately 40-50 lbs empty)
Carry packages to and from customer buildings and the truck
Lift boxes, bins, pallets, totes and packages that weigh up to 100-lbs without assistance
Walk up and down ramps and stairs
Operate an electric and U boat hand truck
Operate a handheld scanner and delivery confirmation device
Understand and complete daily vehicle inspection (DVI) inspection, daily delivery sheets and other required
Additional Job Description
This is a Hybrid Role Performing Transportation duties and DM/RM Operations tasks.
This position also requires
scheduled On Call duties.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40.
