Job summary

Members of the Global Contract Process & Governance team play a key role in managing existing customer contracts and maintaining a global contract repository. Contract Specialists complete comprehensive reviews of customer contract documents and record data on key terms and conditions to update and maintain the global database. Organizational skills and attention to detail are vital in maintaining accurate records and timelines for contract renewals and terminations. Contract Specialists collaborate closely with internal teams, including procurement, legal, and sales, to facilitate smooth contract negotiation processes.

Your role in our mission

  • Review and analyze contract terms to ensure compliance with internal policies.

  • Maintain an organized database of contracts and related documents for easy access and reference.

  • Analyze and extract data with ability to apply independent judgment: understand the data in a contract, including technical language, legal terminology, and quantitative information.

  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding contract-related inquiries and updates.

  • Monitor contract performance, timelines, and compliance, providing reports and insights as needed.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of contract management processes and best practices.

  • Review and assess existing contracts to identify areas of non-compliance or deviations from industry standards.

  • Develop and execute remediation plans to address identified issues, ensuring alignment with standard pricing restrictions and Terms and Conditions.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to contract remediation efforts.

  • Monitor and track progress of remediation activities, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with established plans.

Valued skills and experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail.

  • Sound reading comprehension with an understanding contract structure and language and the ability to accurately extract and summarize key information.

  • Basic understanding of contract law and terminology and standard contract provisions, e.g. liability, confidentiality, indemnity, etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess contract viability.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer services and display strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

  • Strong process and time management skills.

  • Detailed and accurate data entry and keyboarding skills.

  • Previous experience in contract management is a plus.

  • Multilingual - proficient in English and at least 1 additional language preferred.
