THE ROLE....

As a Fine Art Technician, your responsibilities will include safely handling, packing, and installing valuable artworks, conducting condition reports & providing unparalleled art transportation, storage, and installation services to galleries, museums, private collectors, and artists. Your attention to detail and passion for fine art will play a crucial role in preserving these pieces and upholding our commitment to excellence in the art logistics industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES...

  • Safely and delicately handle and transport valuable works of art, including paintings, sculptures, and other art objects, following established protocols and guidelines.

  • Assist with the packing and crating of art pieces, ensuring that they are properly protected during transit.

  • Participate in the installation and de-installation of artworks at various venues, such as museums, galleries, exhibitions, and private collections.

  • Collaborate with a team of art professionals to ensure the flawless execution of art projects and logistical operations.

  • Maintain a high level of care and vigilance in the handling of delicate artworks to prevent damage or deterioration.

  • Conduct condition reports and document any changes or damages to artworks during the handling process.

  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the art storage facilities.

  • Employ appropriate preservation techniques when handling different types of art mediums, taking into account factors such as climate control and light exposure.

THE PERSON...

  • Previous experience working as a Fine Art Technician, Art Handler, or in a similar role within the art logistics field.

  • Proficiency in handling various art mediums, including paintings, sculptures, antiques, and contemporary art pieces.

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of precision and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

  • Physical fitness and the capability to lift heavy objects and artworks, as well as the willingness to work in various settings, including tight spaces and heights.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment used in art handling and transportation.
