Driver Coordinator / Dispatcher
Full Time Perm
Shift: Monday - Friday
Start Time: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

This role is responsible for enabling an efficient day-to-day Local Route operation by supporting Transportation Supervisor and drivers through route staffing, driver training, information gathering, absentee coverage and communication.
Daily route planning and preparation
Daily task assignments to drivers
Monitor route progress and efficiency throughout the day
Ensure safety and security procedures followed
Resolve customer delivery issues
Daily reporting of metrics as assigned
Assist supervisor with driver check in/check out processes
Provide backup coverage when absences or vacant routes
Train new Route Drivers on safety, security, and route knowledge
Monitor workflow to ensure all transportation administration and maintenance processes are followed (DVIR, BDIR, Fueling, IFTA, DQ)
Accountable to notify and Report to Management all variances to plan in Route Performance.
Provide phone coverage, including calls from drivers, customer service and other route related inquiries.
Prior Box Truck driving experience preferred
Strong computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
