Primary purpose of this role: t he Procurement Manager is responsible for leading Middle Eastern specific initiatives and strategies in line with regional and global procurement, focusing on demand management, strategic sourcing, supplier risk, compliance and contract management. In addition, she/he will apply procurement best practices to achieve sustainable and continuous savings that make a measurable impact on the EBITDA across the numerous countries in the region. This role reports directly into the Procurement Director EMEA.
What you will do
Evaluate spending and vendors and work in collaboration with the regional procurement team to identify and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, as well as other sourcing and category management activities within the Middle East region.
Ensure that a robust process is in place to manage risk in the supply chain working with relevant risk teams
Establish and manage an effective process for ensuring ethical procurement and supply chain management throughout the region working with relevant SME’s
Responsible for the delivery of annual cost impact for the Middle East.
Act as a supply chain advisor to the Middle East leadership to help liaison with Global Procurement to develop sourcing plans and the Middle East category strategies.
Manage and work with key business partners and category leaders to identify and prioritize local sourcing initiatives and/or contract negotiations that enable business priorities, reduce Iron Mountain’s total cost (TCO), and mitigate supply chain risk.
Lead Middle East Supply chain activities through a structured sourcing process in coordination with global and regional procurement counterparts.
Coordinate contracting process for Middle East agreements to represent the business needs.
Analyse and continuously monitor market and industry data to ensure programs remain competitive throughout the agreement period.
Seek alternate and present innovative solutions to business challenges and create competitive advantage.
Leverage process teams, applications and tools to identify best approaches for handling operational transactions.
Partner with finance to influence revenue accrual by influencing suppliers for optimal payment terms.
Accountable for management of the Iron Mountain Middle East facilities suppliers.
What you will bring
Minimum 5 -7 years management in Procurement /Supply Chain Management.
Written and spoken Arabic and English languages are essential.
Application of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation at executive level.
Knowledge and experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiating, analysis, project management and leading an area in implementing new supplier agreements/programs.
Spend monitoring, analytics and cost management
Development and implementation of processes, systems and governance structures.
Familiarity with procurement systems including Oracle ERP, Sievo, RFX/Auctioning technology, etc.
Minimum relevant tertiary education is essential
Professional Certification in Supply Chain, Management/Procurement (e.g. CiPS) is desirable
Experience in working for a multinational would be an added advantage.
