The Workforce Training and Development Manager is part of the Global Standards & Integration team and is primarily responsible for a variety of IMDC training activities with portfolio-wide development and delivery in a global organization. This position will partner with key stakeholders across all departments and function teams globally. The Workforce Training and Development Manager will develop learning and development plans, design a learning curriculum and consult with subject matter experts to source appropriate content in order to support employee development, and team/organizational effectiveness in both technical and non-technical environments.
Research, recommend and design employee training and development programs that span the life cycle of each position. This includes the delivery, measurement and monitoring of programs.
Development of curriculum, content, delivery and support for training activities based on adult learning principles and leveraging traditional, multimedia, electronic delivery methods to provide engaging and innovative in-person and distance training activities.
Implement and manage the overall IMDC Role Based Training Program.
Conduct needs assessments and GAP analysis identifying training needs for skills and role based training.
Evaluate existing internal training programs and activities for relevance and effectiveness.
Ensure strategic alignment of training with business goals, priorities and deadlines.
Develop delivery methods, support processes for progress-based skills attainment and level of knowledge training solutions to meet business needs.
Identifying, supporting and working with SMEs within the organization to act as instructors, facilitators and presenters for training delivery across a global and diverse organization.
Act as facilitator and instructor for a variety of training delivery needs.
Develop methods for objective based knowledge, skill assessment and tracking as needed.
Develop and implement internal qualification/certification programs as needed.
Incorporate evaluative feedback to improve training plans, courses and delivery and implement KPIs for training activities.
Prepares annual training budget plan and monitors spending.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Bachelor degree in Workforce Education and Development, Organizational Development, Vocational, Education or related discipline.
3 to 5+ years experience working within and/or managing an effective organizational training and development program.
Certifications in Training Program Manager, Instructor/facilitator or equivalents prefered
Ability to lead and manage a full cycle technical training and skills based training program for skills attainment and establishing a uniform level of knowledge achievement.
Proven experience in the complete development of a training program from needs assessment, delivery, to skill attainment evaluation.
An understanding and practical application of Cognitive Learning Theory and a variety of delivery methods aimed at a global, multicultural environment.
Ability to train managers, supervisors, and leads to deliver job specific training programs to targeted groups of employees.
Strong Program and Project Management skills and experience.
Ability to work autonomously and across functions at all levels, remotely as well as in a global team environment.
International and domestic travel will be required.
