The Associate Project Manager, Mexico, is a key member of the LATAM Global Real Estate team supporting Mexico with capital project management responsibilities. This role reports directly to the Project and Facilities Manager in LATAM with matrix responsibility to the VP Global Facilities Management and Sustainability. The position is based in Mexico and will occasionally require travel throughout the LATAM region. Leads or coordinates construction projects, such as the development of a new facility; the addition and/or expansion of an existing facility; or renovation/modifications to a facility in collaboration with the project team, construction site and management. Develops assignments, schedules, and responsibilities for team members throughout the duration of the project. Organizes and directs construction personnel and ensures materials and equipment are delivered on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Collaborate in the preparation and validation of all Business Cases of the Investment Committee (ICOM) for capital investment.

  • Develop project schedules to inform business case approvals and then closely monitor schedules as projects progress, and report deviations.

  • Ensure that real estate costs and project information are provided in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate bidding processes with procurement, including analysis of offers.

  • Control the project payment process and maintain a record of the historical cost of projects.

  • Publish and communicate monthly project reports.

  • Create cash flows for each project.

  • Visit projects regularly and track schedule and quality standards.

  • Update leaders on project status and provide charts and graphs of project progress.

  • Coordinate change orders, change directives.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS…

  • University degree in engineering, architecture, business or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of project management experience.

  • Advanced English.

  • Project management.

  • Contract and supplier management.

  • Experience in budgeting and financial controls of projects.

  • Willingness to travel within Mexico up to 20% of the time and occasionally outside of Mexico.

  • High level of personal and professional integrity.
