About Us:

Clutter, a leading provider of on-demand moving and storage services, has recently joined forces with Iron Mountain, a global leader in storage and information management services. Together, we aim to provide unparalleled service and innovation in the moving and storage industry. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee our field and warehouse operations teams.

Position Overview:

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the operations of both the field and warehouse teams. This role will oversee Area Managers in the field, who are focused on leading layered teams of Sr. Leads and Lead Drivers focused on moving and storage services. Additionally, the role will manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and overall warehouse management for our Northwest, Midwest, and NorCal regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the moving and storage teams.

  • Manage and mentor leads, senior leads, and area managers, ensuring they meet performance and service delivery standards.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize route planning and resource allocation.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval processes.

  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track the movement and storage of items.

  • Manage warehouse staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance performance.

  • Ensure the warehouse meets safety and cleanliness standards.

  • Coordinate with the field operations team to ensure seamless integration of warehouse and field activities.

General Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for field and warehouse operations.

  • Analyze operational data and generate reports to inform strategic decisions.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as HR, finance, and customer service, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to keep Clutter at the forefront of the moving and storage industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Technology, or a STEM related field preferred but not required.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the moving, storage, or warehousing industries.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.

  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Multi-site operations experience preferred.

Reasonably expected salary range: $101,700.00 - $135,600.00
