Job Summary

The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is responsible for guiding the design and direction of infrastructure elements that deliver or support services in use by Iron Mountain and its customers. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of stakeholders including the rest of the Architecture team, Infrastructure Engineering, Business Analysts, IT Operations teams, IT Security, Project Management and customers as needed.

Your role in our mission:

• The Infrastructure Solutions Architect will collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Network Architects to conform to global standards. Identify and analyze enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context. Provide analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Continually analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture

• You will be responsible for developing, designing and architecting the technical solutions and manage the overall architecture implementation for solutions, working within standards provided by the Corporate Infrastructure Team

• Create, update, and maintain high and low level design documents and diagrams to meet technical solutions for customers

• Meet with external customers and stakeholders to review and answer any questions pertaining to design documents

• Provide technical troubleshooting services for complex problems as an escalation point for other infrastructure admins. Stay at the forefront of innovation by maintaining current knowledge of products, services, and market dynamics

• Transition agreed designs and technical solutions to relevant Engineering and IT Operations teams

• You will be required to work with the relevant Project Managers to build out project Infrastructure implementation plans, this will include confirmation of required infrastructure skill sets needs to deploy the associated Infrastructure solution

Valued skills and experience:

• Senior technical architecture skills and depth across multiple technologies. Technology areas to include Virtualization, Network, Compute, and Storage

• Combined business and technology background in a large and complex environments

• Broad understanding of technology marketplace and trends, with sufficient depth to assess emerging technologies and technology partners.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and influence across multiple stakeholders with the ability to set IT architectural direction across a large or highly complex organization.

• Partnering with Infrastructure Architecture to understand architectural roadmaps for multiple infrastructure domains.

• Proven ability to architect and design innovative, industry-leading solutions to efficiently solve business problems at line of business and/or enterprise levels with financial discipline.

• Demonstrated technical expertise in providing architectural direction and ability to engage SMEs.
