Iron Mountain Manager, Routing and Logistics - West in Jacksonville, Florida

  • Provide leadership and guidance for NAO Transportation Operations with core focus on logistics and our routed network.

  • Support regional planning and logistics model and lead change management leadership efforts associated with rollout

  • Build a strong team of transportation routers and analyst. Develop, train and hold them to high level of performance.

  • Create and implement routing scorecard to manage individual performance of team as it relates to effectiveness, efficiency and communication

  • Ensure daily routes are optimized to their fullest extent

  • Team will review and approve all Transportation requisitions to ensure staffing levels are aligned with current activity levels

  • Team will review all fleet requisition to ensure fleet capacity is optimized to drive efficiency

  • Perform periodic review of Data Management and Shred route structure and perform optimization efforts with territory planner as needed

  • Ensure new business is integrated into network structure optimally starting with first service date

  • Work with implementation teams on any new customer implementation or activity related to acquisitions or PUMV’s.

  • Continuously review TPN footprint and provide guidance for insourcing activity.

  • The Manager will be responsible for ensuring communication is thorough and consistent specifically as it relates to regional routing and logistics. They will be directly involved with any issue resolution that needs to be completed. They will work very closely with the District Manager and field leaders.

  • Provide direct support to Sales team to solution opportunities and provide cost and pricing.

  • Manage Service Locator Tool and provide related support to field users.

  • Ability to apply decisions, and to think in broad terms, considering the impact of decisions across the entire company.

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the Iron Mountain Enterprise.

  • Excellent written, oral and formal presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in business process re-engineering, ability to produce enduring, effective solutions to business problems; benchmarking, project management, strong analytical problem solving skills, and action-oriented with the ability to deliver timely and positive results.

  • The Manager will be responsible for utilizing a variety of tools and resources to analyze and create solutions for a variety of business issues to include metrics development, target setting, operational performance, execution and measurement.

  • This position will need to be flexible to work 2 nd and/or 3 rd shift hours to lead a team.


B Business Expertise: Manager must have the ability to analyze data to drive cost

out of the current network with route optimization. Must have the ability to track and identify cost

savings to the P&L and communicate with field leadership. Individual should have basic P&L knowledge

and understand the relationship between activity revenue and daily cost (Service Margin)

Leadership: Manager will have the ability to guide field leadership through change management. They must possess the communication skills to clearly articulate the need and reasoning for program and process changes. . This manager will need to build a strong team of analyst and lead them to a high level of performance.

Problem Solving: Manager must have the ability to solve business and personnel problems quickly and effectively.

Nature of Impact: This role will drive cost efficiencies by optimizing our daily route network across North America. This position will allow field leadership to focus on execution and support their efforts with proper and timely reporting.

Area of Impact: Direct impact on local field leadership and within several regions across North America

Interpersonal Skills: This role requires a large amount of telephone and email communication with different areas within Iron Mountain (field leadership, trans support, I.E, business office ) at varying levels of Iron Mountain’s organization. They must be timely and complete when responding to questions and concerns. They must also consistently demonstrate clear, concise and professional verbal and written communications, and strong personal organization skills. They must be able to lead a team aligned to the same visions and drive improvement to service margin.
