Job Summary Operates light transport vehicles which can be operated under a standard driving license. Delivers supplies, products or equipment between the organisation and customer sites according to designated schedule. Other responsibilities may include: loading, unloading, preparing, cleaning, and operating a vehicle for delivery duties. Examples: Passenger vans and light trucks. Please note: in some countries specific certifications/ driving licenses must be obtained for carrying certain loads such as hazardous material. Job Description Our couriers are the public face of Iron Mountain, trusted to transport and handle client materials and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. Couriers are responsible for driving a company vehicle to transport materials from client and Iron Mountain locations; loading and unloading through a variety of mechanisms; using wireless scanning technology; preparing paperwork and performing daily vehicle maintenance to ensure it functions efficiently. This position calls for a significant amount of physical strength and stamina. Responsibilities:
Communicates in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers
Operates and maintains company vehicle safely and efficiently,
Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance (details below)
Executes accurate and timely handling of client delivery requests
Utilize mobile communication equipment in a safe and practical way following company policies and standards. Appearance must always be maintained and in accordance with company standards. Utilize handheld bar code scanner and related PC as required
Other duties, as assigned by manager/supervisor. Qualification:
Strong familiarity with PCs and handheld scanning devices, e-mail and basic Microsoft Office applications.
