ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…
Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) is seeking a Project Manager with direct industry experience with historic recorded media formats, media asset migration/digitization, in the digital studio and customer vault space.
The project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. As the primary customer liaison for all day-to day activities, they manage client projects and report to the client on progress, issues, and timelines. Responsible for the creation, organization, execution and completion of specific projects. This includes managing relevant employees, setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…
Project managers play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects. They are accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources, and the success or failure of the project
Key point of contact and subject matter expert for project information exchange with clients and internal teams
Activity and resource planning
Organizing and motivating a project team
Controlling time management
Cost estimating and developing the budget
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Analyzing and managing project risk
Monitoring and reporting progress
Keeping clients within the project scope and managing scope creep
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS…
Proven experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multitasking skills and prioritization
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Software Proficiency
Data Analysis and Cost Control
Problem Solving and Adaptability
Demonstrable familiarity with historic media formats
Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task and work with tight delivery deadlines
Bachelor Degree, Certificate from an accredited media archiving/inventory management, media recording, media production school or technical program or; comparable work experience is highly preferred
Membership and participation with local and national technical associations including but not limited to: Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA), Audio Engineering Society (AES), Grammy Foundation, Grammy P&E Wing, DDEX, Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is preferred but not required
