Pricing Manager, Public Sector
Iron Mountain is seeking a Pricing Manager to join the Iron Mountain Government Solutions team. This position will be responsible for supporting the organization as they win new business and get the best outcome on renewals and business opportunities, utilizing data to identify the most appropriate pricing strategy, deal structuring and price-to-win. The individual will provide analytical support for customer-facing teams – including the building of pricing models using customer financial and operational information from our business systems, then preparing price-to-win analyses and strategies based on this information. Key Responsibilities:
Drive price strategy – translate business goals into price strategies for existing business and new opportunities. Determining the best combination of price and services, tools and techniques to allow the field to execute our pricing initiative
Review deal pricing – support price approval with specific analysis based on expertise within this market, contribute content for sales proposals.
Identify and implement price improvement opportunities – through creative analytics, review customer pricing trends, spot opportunities to improve performance through new price metrics, bundles, or policies, design project plans to address and measure, communicate with stakeholders, and launch improvement.
Deal modeling – Develop internal financial models and prepare cost/price volumes in response to federal solicitations, contract modifications, and requests for equitable adjustments in compliance with solicitation instructions and FAR requirements
Price-to-Win Analysis - Perform account-based analyses on competitive cost, price trends, and historical bid price points for specific proposals or subaccounts. Analyze competitive price actions and strategies to determine future Iron Mountain pricing strategies.
Translate data to compelling stories -- Understand customer behavior and value, relate price impacts to customer behaviors and build confidence for sales team with the findings.
Understand customer value – Work with marketing and sales to identify customer impact from our services
Essential Skills:
Creative analytic capability – the ability to utilize data to identify opportunities and build a compelling story for change; translate financial analysis into prescriptive, actionable recommendations
Ability to design, construct, analyze and explain insightful analytics models
Able to recognize and identify trends and drivers, and distill them into insightful analysis
Speak statistics – pivot tables, correlation, Tableau or Qlikview, Customer Relationship Management system experience, price optimization tool exposure – all highly valued
Persuasion – the ability to lead change and align multiple teams; to influence multiple senior leaders without direct authority; fluency with conference calls, webinars, PowerPoint, etc.
Maturity – Ability and desire to interface with executive management
Multi-disciplinary capability – the ability to interact across functions and cultures
Program leadership – the ability to independently lead multiple projects from strategy to implementation – independence highly valued
Public Sector knowledge – the ability to act as a business partner to and collaborate with cross-functional Public Sector teams, including Contracts, Subcontracts, Program Business Support, Compliance, or HR on specific proposals and portfolio processes
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and various contracts types (Cost, T&M, and Fixed Price)
Familiarity with the General Services Administration (GSA) schedules program
Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management, BPO, Workflow, and ERP solutions
Familiarity with reading and interpreting federal government solicitation documents (RFP, RFQ, SOW, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred – especially business, statistics or economics
Certified Pricing Professional recognition highly prized
5+ years’ experience with pricing various contract types, with a passion for pricing and project management
Advanced proficiency MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, GSuite Products
Ability to aggregate and organize large quantities of data from multiple sources
Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service

Reasonably expected salary range up to $150,000.
Reasonably expected salary range: $76,900.00 - $102,500.00
