Assist in drafting and reviewing Iron Mountain’s contracts with its customers and suppliers; assist the Legal/Contracts team in developing standards and processes to support appropriate controls and management of contracts; and assist in development of standard and non-standard contract language. More specifically, the following are key elements of the basic functions of the position:
Assisting the review, evaluation and generation of contracts with respect to customer requests for modifications to the company’s standard contract language and preparation of contract amendments.
Review and modify fully customized forms of contracts presented by potential vendors/customers, all in accordance with company policies and procedures in effect at the time.
Assisting in developing material or bringing corporate resources current.
Providing support to the Contracts Manager, Corporate Counsel(s) and Legal Vice President as needed.
Such other and further responsibilities as may be designated by the Legal Vice President from time to time.
Must be currently enrolled in a JD degree seeking program.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
Ability to read and understand legal documents.
Must have good communication skills (written and verbal).
Must have initiative, flexibility, ability to multi-task and re-prioritize work as necessary.
Prior Work Experience: 0-2 years work experience reviewing and drafting contracts. Basic knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, privacy law helpful but not required.
