The Business Development Associate (BDA) is a phone-based role, which is responsible for driving net new sales and revenue from prospective and existing customer accounts within Intellectual Property Management Group of Iron Mountain.
As a Business Development Associate with Iron Mountain's Intellectual Property Team, I focus on a diverse array of industry-leading services including:
Software Escrow, Escrow Verification Services, Discovery Escrow, SaaS Solutions, IP Development Protection Services, and Compliance Services for Designated Third Party (D3P).
Through well-executed outreach and management of clients my role is to drive business. Daily activities include managing an extensive pipeline of prospects with unique needs and desires, designing revenue-bearing marketing campaigns, leading client meetings to ensure best practices are in place, and handling new business leads.
In order to build, establish, and maintain client relationships I cater each conversion to the situation at hand. By delivering value propositions and understanding the key factors involved in each client’s buying process, I continually create demand for my clients to utilize our services in full.
Respond to all inbound lead inquiries and pass to assigned Business Development Executive (BDE).
Prospect new and existing Iron Mountain Intellectual Property accounts to help build a pipeline for business.
Work with Managers and marketing teams to conduct campaigns designed to drive leads to the sales team.
Assesses prospective and assigned customer’s current and potential needs, determining appropriate Iron Mountain Intellectual Property products and solutions.
Builds customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand organizational business objectives and goals.
Continuously prospects to develop net new clients, as well as expand existing relationships and products of accounts.
Maintains a consistent ‘pipeline’ that enables meeting and exceeding lead and revenue quota attainment.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce.com systems.
Prospect new customers and existing customers, promoting Iron Mountain Intellectual Property Management services via the phone.
Must meet and exceed key activity metrics.
Encompasses strong interpersonal, planning, analytical skills and business acumen for effective decision-making.
Ability to team effectively at all levels of IRM and customer personnel (to include c-level) on a wide range of topics and issues.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Proven ability to meet and exceed quota targets.
Ability to develop, maintain and present to senior level management within their customer base.
Ability to present to senior level management

Proficient with oral and written communication
Education / Experience: 4-year College Degree / 4 – 7 years
