The Iron Mountain Data Centres Team is seeking for a Data Centre Critical Facility Day Technician to support our Critical Facility team in Slough.
You will be a part of our dynamic, rapidly growing international organisation. As a Data Centre Critical Facility Day Technician you’re responsible for the maintenance and management of the critical data centre infrastructure. You will take care of the technical operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems. You will work independently, take responsibility and can communicate well. Furthermore you stand firmly in your shoes and love to get things done. You ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance are carried out promptly and correctly. You will work closely with subcontractors and will support them if necessary. In addition you will be responsible for managing the contractors and work on technical adjustments. You are part of a committed and hard-working team that is committed to quality, success and 100% customer satisfaction. In this position you stand at the base of improvements and innovations. You report in this function directly to the Critical Facility Manager.
Your role in our mission:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance rounds
Physical monitoring of equipment, conditions and technical performance
Monitoring and responding to alerts, alarms and emergencies
Solving complex problems in electrical, mechanical equipment and control systems
Solve problems quickly or delegate to a supplier
Following trainings to meet the quality requirements
Carrying out daily inspections on critical infrastructure, including data collection and evaluation
Repairs and preventative maintenance on cooling machines, pumps and cooling towers
Valued skills and experience:
As a Data Centre Critical Facility Day Technician you have:
A recognised UK electrical qualification
Experience working in a critical environment would be advantageous
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
Customer focused with a service oriented attitude;
You have a valid driver's license;
Working well in a dynamic fast growing environment;
Ability to work independent and you are proactive and accurate;
Ability to document your activities accurately
